The American Muslim Legal Aid is a project from The Legal Center at MECCA Institute that helps Muslims find help in the United States.
It offers local access to legal help by connecting Muslims to government-funded legal clinics across the United States.
The legal aids we recommend are funded by the Legal Services Corporation (LSC). LSC was established in 1974 by U.S. Congress to provide civil legal aid to low-income Americans.
LSC is governed by a bipartisan board and distributes funding to nonprofit legal aid programs in local areas.It is a publically-funded enterprise, getting about half a billion or more a year.

The following are legal aid centers we recommend to American Muslims. Each state may have multiple legal aids, so we recommend you call the nearest one for more information.
In some states, you might get help from a nearby out-of-state location. For example, if you live in Gary, Indiana, it might be better to contact the Chicago, Illinois office.
Meanwhile, the information we share with you is the most current. Sometimes, one of the contact information, such as the phone number or website, may be out of order.
Finally, please be patient with these organizations because they are typically underfunded, understaffed, and very busy.
