“Alms are for the poor and the needy, and those employed to administer them, for those whose hearts have been reconciled in Truth; for those in bondage and in debt; in the cause of God, and for the wayfarer: ordained by God, and God is full of knowledge and wisdom.” Surat al-Tawbah, 9:60

Nothing in this world is free…who knows it better than those who sacrifice fighting for our faith and causes of God? MECCA Institute fights for the causes of God through Islamic theological education and research. Muslims and non-Muslims find reconciliation of the heart through truth, living in equity and social justice in our multifaith and secular communities. We bring solace to the poor and indebted losing hope, provide freedom from captivity of a broken spirit, and give reflection for those lonely travelers in life.

MECCA Institute’s online Chaplaincy Program in progressive Islamic theological studies focuses on Quran, traditions and collective histories to make contribution to our faith in modern times. Our upcoming Community Education program provides basic and intermediate Islamic online study courses geared for Muslims living in Western, secular societies. We are also increasing our reach by focusing on the arts, especially Islamic arts, as well as creating departments that focus specific communities in the Muslim World and beyond.

Saloonaat, our research wing, conducts contemporary research in (1) Muslim and related communities with emphasis on global Islamic histories; (2) is planning a legal center in the near future, to concentrate on comparative Islamic and secular law; and (3) our progressive Islamic message focuses on progressive theological rulings utilizing the Quran, traditions and Islamic history to avoid the distortions of the Quranic spiritual message that influence our faith, culture and religion today.

MECCA Institute improves the lives of Muslims living in a multifaith and secular society. Your zakat al-fitra donation this Ramadan assures our faith meets the continuing educational needs of Muslim generations today and the future.

MECCA Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Since 2015, we secured several scholars around the world to come on board as leaders. By focusing our scholarly work on women, LGBT, and the youth, we are creating an alternative Islamic perspective. This perspective, which we call the Progressive Islamic perspective, is one that supports inclusive Muslims in communities that have been inundated with extremism and discontent.

Consider making a donation to the organization, as we need to raise funds to continue our operations and growth.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to your support.

May God continue to bless us all.
